At the Sörgårdsskolan in Skillingaryd, I held workshops for students of age 7 – 8 years old. I wanted to explore how children of this age group indulge in collaborative making using elements from the imaginary world, how they arrive at collective decisions, and what kind of narratives they create based on their fictional creations.
STAGE 01: Children identified and introduced themselves as animals and made a badge representing that.
Stage 02: Children worked in a group of three to make a cross creature with their chosen animals. Then, each group made stories based on what that animal would look like, what he would eat, and who are his friends.
